Smartlock Pro 4 - Web Api unreliable

I have been using two Smartlock 4 Pro via the Web API from my Loxone system for a few months.

I usually check the status once a day. In the evening I send the command to lock one of the two locks. During the day there are therefore very few requests via the WEB API.

Basically, the query and sending of the commands works. However, I keep finding that the locking command is only implemented in around 80% of all requests.

Even if the locking command is not accepted via the Web API, I can send the command directly afterwards via the Android NUKI app and it works.

The lock is charged, WiFi is very good at the location of the lock.

I am looking for the reason why it doesn’t always work and I need help here.

Thanks
Norman

Hi Norman,

Welcome to the forum!

When you subsequently perform your lock action via the Android app, do you perform that action via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth? If you are unsure, please try the following for me the next time you are having issues with the API: disable Bluetooth on your phone and attempt to perform the lock action once again. This will help us establish whether there is any issue between the Smart Lock and the internet connection.

Hi,
my Problem is back.

The App says that there is no server Connection but WLAN is there. My Unifi App also confirms a Connection. Interesting is, that the Connection Qualtity is quite low. The Weeks before I had a good quality. At this place my WLAN is normally good and stable. The AP is not far away! My other lock ist working without any trouble.

Turning WLAN Off and on manually in the app solves it for now…all connections are green. But for how long

Looks like the Smart Lock has problems to keep a stable WIFI connection. Here is an FAQ with steps you can try: Smart Lock WiFi/Thread/MQTT connection troubleshooting / FAQ - #8 by Stefan_Reiterer

There were also some suggested settings for Unifi APs here in the forum. Search should help.
If the Smart Lock connects to the wrong AP, creating a separate network just for the Smart Lock on the AP you want it to connect to, might also be worth a try.

Finally you could also try the latest Smart Lock Beta and test if it makes a difference.
