Opener - Support for Siedle intercoms dropped completely since January 17th

Hey,

this weekend I was setting up my Opener and during the process I had to start the Wizard a second time. By then, I couldn’t find my Siedle device in the list of intercoms anymore. In fact, I couldn’t find Siedle at all anymore.

I contacted support and today I finally got an answer which said that Siedle as a whole is not supported anymore since January 17th.

Here’s the (translated) message I received:

Since January 17th 2025, we have discontinued our official support for Siedle door intercom systems in conjunction with the Nuki Opener following a previous request from SSS Siedle (S. Siedle & Söhne, Telefon- und Telegrafenwerke OHG).

Siedle door intercom systems are therefore no longer included in our compatibility list.

In order to meet our own quality standards, we have decided in consultation with Siedle to discontinue official support for Siedle door intercoms for the Nuki Opener.

We wish you a pleasant day.

I don’t think it’s a great business practice to discontinue a whole intercom vendor without any previous announcement. I can’t even find any official announcement apart from the support email I received. And to top everything off, Siedle is still in the compatibility list on the Website, i.e. the thing you look at before buying an Opener: Opener | Nuki The Smart Lock

Hello, yes this is really a problem how can we do it to use the opener on Siedle intercoms? I have an HT411-02

Same problem here. I now have a pretty expensive paper weight hanging next to my Siedle VOB 150.

Unbelievable bad customer support to just discontinue support and even remove the compatibility intirely.
Whom ever made the decision, to just remove Siedle compatibility and close their eyes and hope noone would notice, should get fired on the spot.

I want my money back.

me too!!! what a scam… Siedle is pictured all over the websites from nuki…now the whole system i bought is useless… i bought it because it is compatible with siedle…is there another brand or alternativ?

is there another “gegensprechanlage” you could propose and which is easy to install?

Since there hasn’t been a firmware update for the Opener since support for Siedle was dropped the support only seems to have been dropped from the Nuki app.

Which means you can’t use the Nuki app to setup your Opener with Siedle intercoms anymore, but not that support was completely dropped.

You can try Nuki Hub running on an ESP32 to set the operatingMode of your Opener to “Siedle” or “Siedle HTS”.

Haven’t tried it myself but don’t see a reason why this shouldn’t work.

Please follow up the original notification.

While we have discontinued our official support for Siedle intercoms for the Nuki Opener, existing Nuki Opener customers will be able to continue using it by configuring “generic profiles” in the Nuki App.
