Not able to pair with Android Wear (V2)

Thanks for the feedback, I will try it this afternoon

Updated the smartlock to the latest 2.5.4 firmware. And it works! Quite fast I must say

I don’t believe, but… it works
I paired my watch with the NUKI, it took a few seconds, and it just started working
Sometimes not so fast or I need to repeat the demand to lock\unlock, but it is better than nothing :-]

I can’t get my Smartlock v2.0 nor the Opener getting paired to my Android Wear Device, Fossil Q Explorist Gen3…
However both Nuki devices show up in my Smartwatche’s Bluetooth list of available devices!?
Also when opening the Nuki Android Wear App on my Foosil Gen3 Android Wear Smartwatch it takes 2-4 minutes until the status of my locks get updated on my watch. On my Android Smartphone it works quite straight forward.
I am using also the Nuki Bridge and the Android Smartphone App has version 2.4.2 and Smartlock firmware is on 2.5.4 Opener firmware is 1.1.10!?

So you succeded with another device?
Did you try to send an invite to use on your Oneplus 7 Pro to see if you can operate the devices with it?

Sorry but need to adjust/edit the following statement (Smartphone works but Smartwatch doesn’t:

I can’t get my Smartlock v2.0 nor the Opener getting paired to my Android Wear Device, Fossil Q Explorist Gen3…

I am only using the Oneplus7 as primary device and it works with it straight out-of-the-box.

After installation of Android wear App the above mentioned issues occured with having the pairing being made not possible at all on my Smartwatch.

No invitations sent as primary user was created on the Oneplus 7 Pro.

Ah, sorry for the missunderstanding.
Could you provide a log file from your Nuki App with debug mode enabled (and after that retry again)?

See:

Sure will do shortly, please only check the Android Wear Bluetooth connection entries. Obviously those are also retrieved from the connected Smartphone? Will take 10mins and send it over as described in the provided link…

Is there already a solution for this problem? I have exact the same issue (Ticwatch). Smartwatch does see Nuki when both are in pairing mode but can’t establish Bluetooth pairing with Nuki smartwatch app.

I would like to pair my montblanc summit 2 Unfortunately this is not possible. When will we get an update?

Same problem here:

Fossil gen 5 Carlyle HR
Wear OS 2.12
Google Platform Services 19.8.31
Nuki app 2.6.4

Cannot pair with:
Nuki Smart Lock 2.0
Nuki Opener

It correctly requests location permissions (to get access to BT/Wi-Fi) but when pairing it just sits there and never completes.

I had the same problem with my Fossil Explorist Gen 4. I could only solve it by disabling bluetooth on my phone and then restarting my watch. I did the same on my new Skagen Falster 3 and it worked immediately.

Good tip! That worked for my Smart Lock 2.0, but weirdly not for the Opener.

I don’t know why, but now it just worked.

  1. unlock door
  2. start pairing on the clock
  3. press the button on nuki 5 seconds

After all, the watch has a connection

Hi there,

I had the same problem (Fossil gen 5 Carlyle), Nuki Lock 2.0 (software version 2.6.6).
The reason was, that on the lock button options for “bluetooth pairing” were not enabled. After enabling bluetooth pairing via button I could pair my smartwatch.

Note, that the smart watch app does not give an error message in that case, it just searches for the lock.

Hope that helps.

After countless attempts to couple my Huawei Watch2 with the NUKI, I eventually made it. I think the 4 sheet metal contacts for keystroke recognition on the NUKI are just total crap and absolutely cheap.

If I am sitting with my watch in front of the lock and I have my smartphone with me, I can open and close the lock with the Smartwatch.

But if I only sit with the watch in front of the lock, I get the message that no Smartlock is available. Only when I bring the mobile phone within range again, the watch will have contact to the lock again.

Obviously the connection is established as follows NUKI -> Smartphone -> Smartwatch.

That’s pretty pointless, if I leave the house without my mobile phone but with the watch, I can’t get in because even if I stand directly in front of the door, there is no connection to the watch because the mobile phone inside is out of range of the NUKI.

Android app version is 2.6.5

I cannot even use the Nuki app on my Wear OS device anymore (Skagen Falster 3): I had to reset my watch, so I removed the user “Falster 3” in the Nuki app on my smartphone, then reinstalled the app but all the app on my watch now does is show “Loading devices” (“Apparaten laden”, in Dutch) and then a black screen. I have absolutely no idea why this is happening …

Please send a log-file with a short description of the problem and the exact time when it occured to our support team at contact@nuki.io, so they can check the details of what happend.

Log file sent - thanks for the follow-up!

I am experiencing the same issue.

I re-installed the nuki app on my Fossil Carlyle watch after the app stopped connecting to the door lock via bluetooth and I could not re-pair the device. My wifes apple watch and our phones, an Android and iPhone, still worked fine and were able to pair with the lock.
After re-installing the nuki app on my Android wear device it is now useless.
Three scenarios can occur when launching the Wear OS app.

  1. Just get a blank screen at launch
  2. Gives the message “Loading devices…” and then gives the blank screen after a couple seconds
  3. Give the message “No Phone Connected”

I hope there is a solution for this soon as it was working fantastically well when I first set it up.

Any updates would be much appreciated.
Thank you

A new Android App Beta is available which addresses the issue:

If feedback for it is good we will roll it out to all users soon.
