Hi, do I need to add the lock to Apple Home again to take advantage of not only being able to unlock or lock the door but to just unlock it without opening? Because when unlocking it it also opens the door when controlled in Apple Home. In Home Assistant there seems to be the option of unlocking without opening. Or does Apple Home not support this yet?

At the moment this is only supported by Home Assistant:
I hope there is a HUGE announcement when Homekit finally supports locking, unlocking and unlatching of locks (connected via Matter (over Thread)).
It’s all very nice that Matter 1.2 is pushing the standard towards this, but until Homekit actually adopts these new developments, it’s not much use yet, and also a bit confusing.
