I received my Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 Pro on 2023-06-19, but its battery pack died on 2024-09-15, making the lock useless, even when powered via USB.
I was shocked because my Nuki is always on the charger, and I don’t even want to use the battery. I assumed the lock still works from the charger when the battery dies, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
I contacted support and told them that during charging, the upper LED segment keeps blinking red every second, the lock doesn’t react to button presses, and it doesn’t connect to the network. They sent me a new power pack, temporarily solving the issue until it dies again.
It’s such a waste! I don’t need batteries and don’t want to purchase one yearly. I plan to purchase two additional Smart Lock 4.0 Pro, which would translate into purchasing three power packs I don’t need yearly!
How can I eliminate Smart Lock 3.0 Pro and 4.0 Pro batteries? This is an absolute must; otherwise, I can neither use nor recommend Nuki.
I can see the relevant Battery elimination for Nuki 2.0 thread, but the suggested battery eliminator seems overpriced. I’m also unsure whether it works with 3.0 and 4.0 Pro. Given that there’s no free space for routing, I’m also unsure how to route the wire of the battery eliminator.
