Hi,
I’m trying to connect my Smart Pro Ultra Gen 5.0 to HA. When I add the integration, it asks by the IP (have it), port (I guess default) and token. I have tried a Nuki Web token but it didn’t work.
I have read that I need to enable HTTP API in the device, but I do not find such option, just WiFi (already enabled), Nuki Web and Smart Home.
Is it possible to connect it to HA? I understood that since it does not need Bridge, it contains the same functionality than an older version + Bridge.
Sounds like you are trying to connect the whole thing via Nuki integration. I wouldn’t recommend it, use MQTT instead. Faster, more secure and, above all, completely local.
I’ve been doing it for ages and it’s the best thing you can do.
IP address: The IP address via which the Mosquitto broker is running should be entered here, i.e. that of Home Assistant without the port.
User name: It is best to assign a user name directly for the Nuki in the Mosquitto broker, e.g. mqtt_nuki_smart_lock
Password: Just like the user name, except that the password must not be longer than 32 characters. And I would only recommend letters and numbers, I always had problems with special characters.
Then check the two boxes and everything should work.
WiFi must remain switched on, otherwise MQTT will no longer work as it works over it.
No problem, have fun. By the way, with a separate door and window contact sensor, you can even control the Lock ‘n’ Go function via a sensor. You just have to think outside the box that Nuki provides.
