After updating to >4.9.x, my Smart Lock Pro 4th gen sometimes doesn’t unlatch properly.
During the calibration the lock locks and unlocks fine, however when it tries to unlatch the motor just free-spins without engaging. Video: Watch nuki lock not engaging | Streamable
The video shows a position run, which is executed after you insert the batteries, not an unlatch (“open door”) command. If you did not insert the batteries, but really executed an open door command, please send me the Nuki ID of your device in a direct message.
Ah I see, so the free spinning is supposed to happen - that’s quite new, isn’t it?
Thanks for the clarification, that’s the first time I heard this sound.
Still the smart lock fails to unlatch sometimes - the door is usually left unlocked with <5 unlatch commands per day.
I couldn’t reproduce the issue right now, maybe it’s an issue with the bridge or the network instead, I’ll try to find it.
After updating to >4.9.10 sometimes my Smart Lock 4th gen loose the home kit connection and is seen as “not respond” accessory.
Usually it return available to home kit without any action, but sometimes I need to remove the battery from the lock.

Yes, it’s a new addition that helps with engine maintenance.

I removed my Smart Lock 4th Gen from Home Kit and add it again and till now all seems to work fine.

Even after rebooting and calibrating the lock, I just returned home, unlatching via the HTTP Bridge API (Home Assistant via Nuki_ng) but the lock didn’t unlatch - it ran a positioning function, locked the door instead and became unresponsive via the Bridge API, only finally unlocking when I used the app…
Anyone else seeing weird behavior from their locks?
