We’ll soon be moving to a new home. Our keypad is installed on our outer door frame, which is a painted surface, using the provided adhesive pad.
Can anyone advise the best process for removing the keypad with the least damage? Also can you buy replacement adhesive pads, or if not any particular adhesive you’d recommend?
Just heat the adhesive with a hairdryer and use dental floss to cut through the 3m stickers. After you remove the plastic part, continue using the dryer and peel the remaining residue away. Just be careful not to overheat to cause the plastic to deform.
