Recurring Wi-Fi Issues with 4th Gen Nuki Pro Devices - Firmware or Hardware Problem?

I’m a software developer and systems administrator. I have 3 Nuki Pro devices: 1 from the 3rd generation and 2 from the 4th generation. Since I installed the 4th generation devices, I’ve been having consistent issues with the Wi-Fi connection (in different properties). The router is set to 2.4 GHz and the network is configured specifically for the Nuki locks. However, both 4th gen devices randomly lose Wi-Fi connection, which forces me to physically go to the property to reset them (I manage vacation rentals, so this is very inconvenient).

Both devices are on the beta firmware program. Sometimes they work fine for weeks, but then suddenly lose the connection. When I reboot them, they reconnect for a few hours and then drop the connection again. I’m starting to think this could be a hardware issue rather than just firmware, as I never had any issues with the 3rd generation Nuki Pro.

All the locks are placed just 2 meters from the router with strong and stable Wi-Fi signals. The only difference between the 3rd and 4th generation devices is that the 4th gen Nuki Pros have a keypad (without fingerprint reader) and a door sensor, but I don’t believe this could be causing the issue.

Please address this problem; it’s causing a lot of disruption for me. Any insights or fixes would be greatly appreciated!

If you do not want to join the beta, please contact our support via the Nuki App (Menu > Help > Contact Customer Support) in order to report problems. They will be gathered and forwarded to the development team.

I’m yet on the bet as I said, this is to help you developers to find a solution. The problem of the nuki 4 pro wifi is of all. I’m on medium power battery settings. Hope it’s not an hardware problem

I have the exact same problem. Even with the current firmware that supposedly improves the WiFi connection.

My lock connects to the network every hour for a few minutes so I want to change the WiFi update cycle to fast to see if this resolves the issue.

Well, I am waiting now for more than two weeks for a solution. They said they fixed it but the new firmware cannot install… Since then more or less silence again from Nuki.

Really, I have 3 4th generationin three different appartment. Always offline all, there is no affidavit
Fix this damned wifi

I have the same problem too.
I have two Smart Locks and they are very often offline.

Last year, when I had only one, it was working way better.
