Idea is to use Smart Lock for any kind of turning knob / rotary button apart from locks. Therefore it would be highly interesting to turn the smart lock in certain steps only. Guess it is a question of the software only, maybe of the smart home integration mit YAML scripts even. Is there any application yet or is there a chance to modify smart lock in this direction?
