Open using Flic Twist over Matter

I’ve added my Nuki 4 Pro as a Matter device on my Flic Hub so I can use a Flic Twist to open the door.

When I try to set up the action in the Flic app, it mentions a PINCode, is this something related to the KeyPad, if so is there a way to create them without a keypad?

Thanks

I don’t know anything specific about Flic Twist, but there is an optional Matter feature called “require PIN code for remote operation”. If this is set, the Flic Twist needs to provide a PIN code within the Matter lock command in order to be able to lock/unlock/unbolt. Matter does not specify how this code is set or generated inside the lock.

Nuki does not support this feature, so you need to leave this empty.

Thanks Jürgen, very useful.

I’ve left the field empty but nothing happens when I click the button to unbolt the lock.

I will have to see if I can debug on the Flic Hub but I’m not hopeful as the support on that product is poor.

@Juergen I tried the identify command with a value of 1 and that worked so I can definitely see the devices talking to each other.

The Flic team suggested setting the PINCode to ‘hex:’ but that doesn’t work.

Is there any way for me to see the commands that get to the Nuki using Matter?

Every lock command is recorded in the Activity Log of the Smart Lock. You can not see status commands, subscribe and other messages that Matter is sending.

So if the unbolt command was correct, I would see it in the activity log but not if it was incorrectly formatted?

And I won’t see the identify command?

Correct

thanks for confirming. The Flic team are going to look to see if the PINCode value can be omitted rather than be sent empty.
