Nuki Smartlock 3 pro - snapped key

Installed the smart lock in Dec, it has worked fairly well. It was provided with an Ultion lock and handle, so the lock barrel has an extended bar which fits into the smart lock, instead of a key. The smart lock mounts onto the handle supplied with it.

Today, coming home we had the auto unlock geo setup, the door unlocked but the motor didn’t stop spinning once the door was unlocked and snapped the lock bar/key off and just kept spinning.

Have had to remove the lock and can still lock the door from the inside with a pair of pliers on the remaining pice of bar.

Has anyone had a lock fail where when it hits the unlock, it still keeps trying to unclock the door?

I would say it is a developer issue if the lock doesn’t stop unlocking when the key reaches the stop. But maybe your support team should have a forum, where people can list problems with the lock, it is not a user support issue, it is a software, motor or barrel issue.

Correct, but this will be relayed by support to the proper internal teams. Therefore please report it to support.

The developer forum is for people who develop with the Nuki APIs or participate in one of the beta firmware programs.
