I am currently trying to set up my Nuki Opener with a Ritto TwinBus intercom (RGE 1787770) and I’m running into an issue regarding our two doors. Since the official Nuki support hasn’t been able to solve this yet, I’m hoping for some advice from this community.
We have a classic 2-wire bus on terminals a and b. This is what the original wiring looked like before I connected the Opener:
The specific setup is that there are two separate bell panels (street and courtyard). If someone rings at either door, the intercom in my apartment rings. Most importantly: I always press the exact same physical button on the intercom to open the door. The system automatically knows where the ring originated and opens that specific door.
During my first attempt using the standard wiring for this Ritto system (including the data cables), the Opener reliably detects the ringing signal from the courtyard. However, when I press “Open door” in the app, nothing happens at all.
Nuki support then advised me to try the basic wiring, connecting only the black wire to b and the red wire to a. When I do this, the Nuki app gets stuck during setup at the “Ring the bell” step. The Opener doesn’t register the ring on the line at all anymore.
Since the “Ring to Open” feature is absolutely mandatory for my daily use, I am stuck right now. Has anyone managed to successfully get this Ritto setup with two doors working?
Also, I am unsure how to correctly configure the intercom in the app, especially for this second variant (basic wiring): Which intercom profile should I select? Do I still choose my specific Ritto model? And what should I select when the app asks if ringing beforehand is required (yes/no)?
