Summary
I’d like a way to globally disable unlocking (mostly opening) on the smart lock.
With some doors it’s possible to open the door with no means to lock it it again.
Features
- An extended locking action that requires at least one device to be in Bluetooth range before it’s possible to unlock again
- Which prevents the keypad and all other integrations from unlocking the door except when you turn them on. Similarly conceptually to airplane mode on a phone, where everything is off until you turn it on.
- When unlocked, returns to the previous state, enabling all users and the keypad.
Reason
Peace of mind when travelling, or worried about accidentally opening the door and being unable to (get someone to) close it.
Examples
- I’m going away on vacation and I don’t want to be able to remotely open the door accidentally.
- I’ve left my pet at home and want to be sure that only I or my partner can open the door when nearby.
- This only really applies to doors for which Nuki can open and cannot be automatically locked (those without a handle)
