Hello team,
I have noticed strange behavior of my Smart Lock (4-th gen) - when I turn knob manually all the way to open position so that it physically cannot go any further, lower segment of the LED ring is permanently ON and also during that moment device start being reported as “not responding” in AppleKit and I cannot control it using Apple Home app.
However as soon as I turn knob to opposite direction (just a little bit), LED goes off and immediately AppleKit sends a notification that the Lock is open (so this means that communication over Matter with AppleKit gets restored).
During the time of the issue - when I open Nuki app - there is no issue with communication (over bluetooth), Nuki app is able to connect with the Lock and sees it’s status and I’m able to control the lock.
Also during the time of the issue connection with HomeAssistant (over Matter) does not get impacted.
I’m not sure what this means when lower part of LED is permanently on (not just flashes once) and it eventually turns off after few minutes.
So when I’m leaving the home, I’m also often shutting down connection with AppleKit if I turn knob all the way to open position and then device cannot be controlled or monitored over Apple HomeKit (automation stops working as well) until someone inside will turn the knob a little bit to opposite direction.
It looks like when knob is turned all the way in open position - device enters in some sort of maintenance mode or something (which affects AppleKit connection)?
I’m running on latest firmware, I have also tried to reset device to factory setting (issue is still present).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
