Motor blocked

Hi there, I’m using a Nuki 4.0 pro lock together with the Nuki universal cylinder. I’m getting a motor blocked error, 0x01, everytime I try to open from the app. Then I put in the key and turn the key by hand, two degrees to left or right. Then the smart lock all of a sudden works from the app. Manually everything runs pretty smooth (opening and closing). By hand, I don’t feel any obsctruction at all.

What is the best way to approach and analyse this?

I tried over and over again:

  1. Opening and closing from the app doens’t work, I always get a motor blocked error
  2. Putting the key in on the outside (without movement) is enough. With the key in the app works
    It is a Nuki Universal Cylinder, so no key needed on the inside.

I don’t know this cylinder, but it sounds to me that it is broken. Something in the lock mechanism blocks it until you put the key in that releases it

I have the original Nuki cylinder. Next week a locksmith is going to have a look. We’ll try to swap the cylinder first. Thanks.
