Many important issues with Nuki V4 and InteractionModelError: UnsupportedAccess (0x7e)

Hello,

I have a Nuki V4 with Matter/Thread on my Thread network which is handled by Home Assistant (HA) Open Thread Border Router. (OTBR)

Since a few weeks, my Nuki have some troubles:

  1. it looses the calibration and I have to redo it regularly. Maybe after a battery removal for charging,
  2. when I try to activate the lock with HA, I’ve got this error: InteractionModelError: UnsupportedAccess (0x7e). The complete stack trace is below. This lead to the lock to stay open when I leave home. That is not an option,
  3. The state is inversed. Don’t know why, but one day, the lock was physicaly close and the state in HA and in the Nuki App was open. It was then impossible to unlock because the app seems the lock was already open. I was stuck outside without the possibility to open from the App, from HA and from the Nuki pad also. I had to remove the battery pack, re-calibrate to have the correct state. This is very annoying for a Smart lock.

It was working fine during maybe 6 months and I don’t know why (certainly an update) but it don’t works.

I personnaly regrets the V3 which never have any issue. The problem with a smart lock, is that if it is not reliable, you put your house in security risk, and that is not acceptable.

My firmware is 4.4.8
