Energie saving mode - longer standy time, less charging

Product name

Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 / 3.0 Pro

Summary

Put Smart Lock into energy saving mode for certain periods of time during the day as well, analogous to night mode. Longer standby time of the lock and less frequent charging of the Nuki Smart Lock.

Functions

It should be possible to set the lock to energy-saving mode for one or more set periods of time via the time control.
This should be independent of whether the door is unlocked or locked.
However, it should also be possible to combine it with e.g. “Door locked” + “Energy-saving mode” for the period “from” - “to”.

Reason

Daily absence during working hours, where the lock is not used or where there is no access.
It is especially noticeable with the Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 Pro that in energy saving mode significantly less energy is consumed.

Examples

In the morning from e.g. 06:00 - 07:30 the lock is active, the children leave the house for school, parents leave the house a short time later.
From 07:30 the house / flat is locked and Nuki Smart Lock goes into energy saving mode until e.g. 15:30. The children come from school / afternoon care and come home, the lock is no longer in energy saving mode from 15:30.
From e.g. 21:00 the Nuki Smart lock goes into night mode until 06:00 in the morning.

Other example: Holiday
While the family is on holiday, the lock is mostly in energy saving mode, except for e.g. 2 hours a day when the neighbours are watering the mail or the flowers.

Other example: Penthouse flat, 3rd floor
The lift goes up to the flat, the front door to the staircase is locked with a Nuki Smart Lock, the staircase is used very rarely because the elevator is used more often. The Nuki Smart Lock that locks the staircase could be set to a permanent energy saving mode because it is very rarely used.

This is done already automatically by the Smart Lock, when energy-saving is set to “automatic”, which is the default setting (and also the recommended one).
