I bought my Nuki Smart Lock Pro 4th gen in Apr 2024. About a year later, I started having issues with the handle. When fully unlocked, the handle would sometimes not go all the way down and the door would be jammed. I’d have to lift the handle, lock, unlock, repeat until it eventually sorts itself out and I can open the door.
In May 2025, I replaced the deadbolt gearbox as this became more frequent. I sourced a like for like replacement from Tool station.

Here we are, about 11 months later and I’m experiencing the same issue with the new gearbox. I’m starting to worry the Nuki is wearing it out. I live in a new build, it’s only 10 years old, it was fine for the 8 years prior to getting the Nuki.
Does anyone have any advice that might help me? I have tried WD40 on all the lock points. I can replace the gearbox again but I don’t want to have to replace it every year.
