Booking.com integration update

I wanted to ask if there have been any updates regarding a potential Booking.com integration.

I’m aware that this can be achieved through a channel manager, but I’d prefer to avoid that approach. Using a channel manager changes the fee structure with Airbnb, and since I only manage a single property, it doesn’t make much sense for my setup.

My goal is to trigger code generation and send the access instructions manually from my own dashboard once certain conditions are met (for example: the guest has paid the security deposit and completed a required form).

I’ve been experimenting with the Nuki API, and I’m able to:

  • Generate access codes
  • Enable the Ring to Open feature

However, the main limitation is that I don’t have access to the Booking.com API, which means I can’t retrieve the guest’s email address or send them a message directly through the Booking.com messaging system.

At the moment, I can retrieve booking information via the iCal feed, so my current workaround is:

  1. Retrieve bookings from the iCal feed
  2. Generate the access code through my custom dashboard
  3. Copy and paste the generated message (including the code and instructions) into the Booking.com messenger manually

This works, but it would be great if there were a way to send the message automatically.

Has anyone found a solution for automating guest messaging with Booking.com in a setup like this, or are there any plans for deeper integration in the future?
