Auto-Unlock stopped working with Apple Watch LTE

Hi everyone,

I’m using the following setup:
• Nuki Opener with firmware 1.11.0
• Smart Lock Pro (3rd Gen) with firmware 4.7.4
• Nuki Bridge
• Apple TV 4K (as Matter hub)
• iPhone 16 Pro
• Apple Watch Series 6 LTE

The Smart Lock is integrated into HomeKit via Matter through my Apple TV. Auto-Unlock with my iPhone 16 Pro works reliably most of the time, with only rare issues.

However, manual Unlock with my Apple Watch (without the iPhone nearby) used to work flawlessly for several months — until it suddenly stopped. Now I consistently get the error message: “No connection.”

I’ve already tried the following without success:
• Completely reset and re-paired the Apple Watch
• Reinstalled and set up the Nuki app on my iPhone from scratch

Unfortunately, Nuki support hasn’t been able (or willing) to help.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?

Does remote access via LTE work for you on the Apple Watch? :thinking::iphone:

Nope, only when I am at home. I guess then the Watch is communicating with the iPhone or directly with the Lock/Opener.

Do you remember what has changed / when the change happened? Nuki App update? iOS/watchOS update? any other update? anything else?

None of them. Just random. Thats what making it super weired. Any possibility to receive debug data or more precise information from Nuki Watch App?
