We have fixed issues concerning Nuki widgets on iOS 17: Existing widgets were not working as desired and new widgets could not be added. The widgets are now working reliably again.
We further improved the user experience of the Nuki App, focusing on the new Smart Lock Ultra.

Please update your Nuki app and share your experience.
The Widgets 1, 2 and 3 in 2024.12.1 install to a “black box” with only a white “Nuki Circle”. If you press this “Nuki Circle”, the Nuki app starts. Widget 4 installs a rectangular “black box” without any function.
That’s an iOS related issue which also occured for us, the only way to mitigate was to (force) restart the phone and afterwards the widgets were available and working again.
Thank you for this insight, restarting the iPhone did indeed solve the problem. Still, the “1st” Widget, the one with the “update arrow”, does not automatically update the status when the lock is openend or closed on the Nuki lock itself, which makes this Widget pointless.
The Nuki Widgets are the first ones I come across who need a full restart of an iPhone to function properly. Restarting is at maximum a temporary work-around and not a solution for the problem.
