Product name
Nuki Smart Lock 4.0 Pro + Keypad 2.0
Summary
Link Keypad 2.0 users (code/fingerprint) with app users to unify access logs and simplify user management.
Features
Add an option to link a Keypad user (either fingerprint or code) to an existing app user.
Display access from fingerprint, code, and app under the same user identity in the activity log.
Support this linking via the Nuki app and API.
Keep the fingerprint/code assignment but tag it as “used by [App Username]”.
Make sure access notifications and logs reflect the unified identity.
Reason
Currently, if the same person uses both the Nuki app and the Keypad (code or fingerprint), they are shown as separate users in the activity log. This causes confusion in managing who accessed the lock, especially in households or shared property use cases. Unifying them would improve clarity and reduce management overhead.
Examples
I assign my daughter a code and fingerprint, and she also uses the app. I want all her access (regardless of method) to show under one identity in the log.
In a shared office, employees use fingerprint and app. Admins want to see full access history under one user name.
In smart home setups (e.g., Home Assistant), this allows for consistent automation triggers based on who entered, not how.
