I’m sorry for writing partly in German, because some phrases and answers are language specific.
“Haustür” is the name of the device.
Currently, to get the lock state, it needs:
“Ist die Haustür zugesperrt/abgeschlossen?”
From intention, my first question was:
“Wie ist der Status/Zustand der Haustür?” ( ->“unterstützt das nicht”)
For consistency, it also should support
“Ist die Haustür aufgesperrt/aufgeschlossen?”
From the answers, querying the state, currently Alexa answers “Die Haustür ist offen.”
For more clearance, this should be “Die Haustür ist aufgeschlossen”.
The old sentence should only be used together with the door sensor (if the door really is open, not unlocked).
This are language specific things, as German does not differentiate between English “unlocked” and “open”, and German “offen” is unclear.
The Nuki Skill for Amazon Alexa is an official Alexa Smart Home Skill and “Works With Alexa”-certified. It uses Alexa’s Smart Home API for door locks. On the one hand this means that the Nuki Skill for Alexa can be perfectly integrated in Alexas Smart Home experience, but on the other hand this also means that we do not have any influence on the command recognition, nor on the answers of Alexa.
It would be great if you could send your suggestions for improvement directly to Amazon. All door lock skills would benefit from it!
