Nuki integration with Microsoft Outlook room reservations

Hi,

We are looking into using Nuki for a small employee guesthouse. The guesthouse will be used by colleagues who have a long commute and need a place to stay overnight.

We are not using a booking platform such as Airbnb or Booking.com. Instead, each room will be set up as a room/resource in Microsoft Outlook, and employees will reserve a room directly through Outlook.

Our ideal setup would be:

Outlook room reservation → automatic temporary access to the corresponding Nuki lock → access only valid for the duration of the reservation.

Is it possible to set this up with Nuki? If so, how would the integration with Outlook work? Would we need an additional platform, API/integration tool, or a specific Nuki subscription to make this possible?

We would especially like to avoid having to manually create and remove access for every reservation.

You’re more than welcome to build a custom integration using our REST API. That will allow you to react to new events in your Outlook calendar and create the relevant authorisations for your guests in Nuki.

You will require a Smart Hosting Service subscription for use of your smart lock in a short-term rental use case.
