I bought the Nuki Bridge + Nuki Combi a few years ago, but unfortunately had to find out that I couldn’t use the lock in my previous apartment because the cylinder didn’t have an emergency function.
After moving, my new apartment is finally Nuki-ready. Unfortunately, I’ve now discovered that the Nuki Bridge seems to have been bricked by the latest firmware update.
During the initial setup, everything worked perfectly fine. I was able to scan for available wifi networks and successfully connect the Bridge to my wifi. I was then prompted to perform a firmware update. In hindsight, I really wish I hadn’t done that…
Ever since the update, the Bridge is no longer able to find any wifi at all. I’ve tried multiple resets and moving the Bridge to different locations, but nothing has helped. I always get error code 12.
This doesn’t seem to be an entirely new issue either. There are several reports about the same problem both here and on external forums. However, customer support naturally denies that the firmware update could have caused the issue even though everything was working immediately before the update. The issue also seems to be treated as a pure customer support problem rather than something that should be investigated by the development team.

Is there any way to downgrade the Bridge to an older firmware version or otherwise perform a deeper reset/recovery?
It really shouldn’t be the case that there is apparently a known issue like this, but nobody seems willing to acknowledge it properly. Instead, customers are being offered a 10% discount code as a solution. Why should I buy a new bridge and risk it also getting bricked after the next update.
Has anyone managed to recover their Bridge from this issue or downgrade the firmware?
