Is Error 4A related to hardware problems?

Suddenly the Nuki lock (2.0) stopped turning. First I tried to calibrate again but I received the Calibration failed (Error 4A). I tried again with the door open, I also restored Nuki to factory default, but no luck.
Any ideas? Should I send the unit for service?

Error code 4A on the Smart Lock is a power error (see which can have different reasons.

Please contact our customer support at (or via telephone). They can guide you through testing some things out and see if your device has to be exchanged.

Thanks, I called and the will exchange the defective unit with a new one.
