WHY oh WHY is it so difficult to update firmware on my Nuki smartlock? When I finally manage to put the lock into maintenance mode after 10+ attempts, the installation fails with either FF or error 506! There must be an easier way??
No problems here. Updating firmware has become even more easy with recent versions of the firmware.
I think there is something malconfigured in your network setup.
How can I check this out? All is green on connection status screen
I have the same problem. I have to try a lot of times until i get the device to maintenance mode and always ff error! 
What can I do?

Maybe a dumb suggestion, but have you tried to turn on the automatic updates? That could save you the hussle of having to even deal with this issue in the first place
