Changing batteries causes Lock v1 to stay dark

When a lock v1 has low battery and eventually goes offline, we change them. We observed with 2 devices that when quickly switching the batteries, the lock did not get illuminated when the new, fully charged batteries were inserted. We checked: they were charged and inserted correctly. The problem only resolved after removing the batteries and waiting for some time before inserting the batteries again. Is that a known issue? We couldn’t reproduce this issue.
But it could be that the Smart Lock continues to run through the buffer instead of the new batteries due to the very fast change and therefore cannot restart. (Which would explain why it works for you with longer wait times when changing batteries.)
In this case you should be able to reboot the Smart Lock by emptying the buffer by pressing the button (several times if necessary).
